Shortcut key for Ctrl Alt Del

 To lock the workstation, most of us uses Ctrl + Alt + Del and Enter keys. This is normal user.

There are some advance user who creates shortcut for lock the workstation as described bellow, 

1. Right click an empty spot on the desktop, point to New and click
Shortcut.

2. In the Create Shortcut dialog box, copy the following into the ‘Type the
location’ of the item text box:

“rundll32 user32.dll,LockWorkStation” remove quotes while typing.

3. Click Next.

4. In “Type a name for this shortcut”, type LOCK and Click Finish

5. Now just click on that icon and enjoy

There is an another way and easy way for locking the workstation,

Windows key + L will lock the workstation. This is the smartest way. Try it….

Save air time using GrandCentral

This is not about Grand central terminal located in New york. This is “Google’s Grand central”. Google has recently acquired GrandCentral which is a one number for your life.  Using this i gonna illustrate how to save your air time.

Step 1: Register you phone number with GrandCentral.

Step 2: Download and install Gizmo project (Voip client).  Gizmo will provide the inbound number which can be used to call from a phone to pc. This is free only.

Step 3: Register your Gizmo inbound number with Grand Central.  That’s all..all the magic will work now..

When some one calls to  your mobile number, you will get ringing in ur gizmo. Even you can get calls to home phone if you registered. Now you can attend the call using home phone or gizmo. thus you can save lots of air time..

 

Note: Grand Central is in beta release. Now Google has stopped new accounts.

Google Chrome rocks

Google has released beta version of new web browser called “Google Chrome” . I downloaded and installed the Google chrome. It looks great. the memory consumption of google Chrome is less when compared to IE and Firefox.the asynchronous handling of java script and stable browser are the main feauters of the Chrome.
