when i try to open the Certificate Authority in Windows 2003 server, i got an error message “Cannot manage certificate service”. later I found out that Certificate service is not running in my machine..

To setup the certificate service, just click the windows componenet and add the certificate service.

In that default setup, give DNS or host name as the CA. and for the suffix name DN=intial,DN=net value is given and follow the setup.

There is another way also, Just type MMC in command prompt and then click add or remove snap-in. Choose the certificate and select the current user and computer. you can get all the certificate information and you can save the MMC for later use.
